filbet Healing the Political Divide and Despair
To the Editor:
Dear Mr. Trump:
First, congratulations on your clear victory — well done! It was a difficult night for me and, I believe, for millions of others who were rooting for the other side. However, your victory speech was a positive first step toward healing for many of us, and I want to thank you for that. You struck a tone that was constructive and less divisive than previous speeches and campaign events.
I hope you will continue in this direction by addressing the country directly with a message such as: “Kamala Harris ran an honorable campaign, and it is now time for the country to come together. I will be a president for all of America, committed to respecting our diversity, our way of life, and fostering unity across this great nation. I would like to assure all Americans that my administration will not criminalize people just because of their political views.”
Such a message would be a remarkable way to begin your presidency in 2025, and in my opinion would help support the implementation of your agenda.

To the Editor:
Progressive liberals, your presumption of the moral high ground, your smug and arrogant and judgmental sense of elitist entitlement, your malicious hate, envy, name calling and abusive persecution of your opponents through the use of the media and the justice system have all been rejected by the American people.
It wasn’t just the economy, or the border or crime, or the international disaster you have created through your weakness, nor the wokeness you have used to silence those who disagree with your liberal agenda. It was so much more than that.
It was the sense of fairness that runs deep in all Americans, and the desire for freedom and justice. You have been rejected, and you have a lot of work to do to ever be relevant again.
